CONCEPTUAL WORK
User Interfaces | Tables
Goal
Develop a table interface that enables users to efficiently scan, compare, derive insights, and make informed decisions based on the presented data.
Thinking
I wanted to explore the intricacies of two distinct table types, a pricing panel and the complexities of administrative backend data management.
To begin with, I designed the pricing panel to facilitate effortless comparison. I wanted to ensure that the visibility of the most recommended plan was paramount. This was achieved through strategic placement of a prominent call-to-action alongside a distinct textual cue. I highlighted the key disparities through use of bold typography and varied font sizes. The design is highly responsive and will work on any screen size.
In contrast, the second table type caters to administrative backend data management, boasting an array of robust features including sorting, filtering, and data manipulation. Horizontal dividers have been seamlessly integrated to optimize horizontal scannability, while left alignment enhances readability. I commanded attention with elements such as the YES/NO option by centrally positioning them. Furthermore, I wanted to include both read-only and editable design modes to demonstrate a dedication to user-friendly design, all the while enhancing the efficiency of data management and retention.
