CONCEPTUAL WORK
Celia’s By The Beach
Celia’s By The Beach, a Mexican restaurant nestled in San Francisco's outer sunset district, caters to a diverse clientele seeking comfort food and signature margaritas in a relaxed setting near the beach. Tasked with rebranding, I aimed to infuse a fresh vibe into the logo, website, and collateral, fostering stronger ties with the local community and cultivating a sense of belonging.

The primary logo for Celia’s By The Beach comprises a wordmark accompanied by an image icon. The lettering style exudes a playful, tropical, and relaxed ambiance. The sunset beach image not only reflects the local setting of Celia’s but also pays homage to Mexico, the country of origin for the Lopez family. This logo and its variations serves as the key identifier for Celia’s, prominently featured on storefronts, advertisements, and online platforms.

Thinking
I really want to maintain that special charm that makes Celia’s unique, and I think using the original logo on the Canvas Tote Bag is a great way to do that. Since Celia’s has been a beloved part of the sunset district community in San Francisco for so long, keeping the original logo will surely evoke fond memories and warm feelings.
I implemented light and dark mode options on both tablet and desktop sites, featuring sun and moon icons at the top left corner of each landing page. These icons not only offer functionality but also convey a playful beach vibe, consistent with the brand's atmosphere.
Accessibility
The top navigation remains static, granting users access to all site pages or screens. Both 'Menu' and 'Shop' feature sub-navigations for exploring various sections. Upon leaving the landing page, the Celia’s logo replaces the sun and moon in the navigation. Clicking the logo redirects users back to the landing page.
